This low turnout is attributed to high ticket prices, with seats in popular stands costing up to Rs. 2,999, significantly more than usual. Local fan groups had previously voiced concerns that these prices would deter attendance. Despite the team delivering one of its best performances in recent times, the stadium remained largely empty, highlighting a significant issue with football ticket pricing strategies in the country. The stadium's capacity is nearly 26,000.
