Mint · world

Egypt has formally requested the return of the 4,000-year-old mummified remains of a priest named Nekht. The mummy was removed from display at Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in late October due to ethical concerns regarding consent. Egyptian officials are communicating with the museum to facilitate the repatriation process. This move aligns with Egypt's ongoing efforts to reclaim ancient artifacts taken abroad, as the nation aims to boost tourism with its newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum.
