A dispute has erupted over the land of the historic Khilafat House in Mumbai's Bhaykhala area. AIMIM leader Waris Pathan raised concerns about ongoing construction, alleging the land belongs to the Waqf and is being sold without proper permission. He briefly locked the office doors. However, Khilafat Committee president Sarfaraz Arzoo stated their organization has been registered as a public trust since 1954, and the land is on lease from the collector. Pathan claims the land was sold, not leased.
