Despite multiple rounds of NEET-UG counselling, 175 MBBS seats remain vacant in Telangana, all within private medical colleges under management and NRI quotas. Government college seats are fully filled due to lower fees. The annual fees for management seats range from ₹10 lakh to ₹11 lakh, while NRI seats cost ₹24 lakh to ₹25 lakh. Experts suggest rising costs and financial barriers, rather than a lack of interest, are causing these vacancies. This situation arises while deserving students are unable to secure seats.

NEET-UG काउंसलिंग के कई दौर के बाद भी तेलंगाना में 175 MBBS सीटें खाली रह गई हैं, जो सभी प्राइवेट मेडिकल कॉलेजों में मैनेजमेंट और एनआरआई कोटे के तहत हैं। सरकारी कॉलेजों की सीटें कम फीस के कारण पूरी तरह भर गई हैं। मैनेजमेंट सीटों के लिए सालाना फीस ₹10 लाख से ₹11 लाख तक है, जबकि एनआरआई सीटों के लिए ₹24 लाख से ₹25 लाख तक है। विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि सीटों के खाली रहने का कारण रुचि की कमी नहीं, बल्कि बढ़ती फीस और वित्तीय बाधाएं हैं। यह स्थिति तब पैदा हुई है जब योग्य छात्र सीटें हासिल नहीं कर पा रहे हैं।
