Doctors at Ballari's BMCRC medical college and hospital have successfully treated a rare congenital condition known as 'foetus in fetu.' This condition occurs when an underdeveloped twin becomes enclosed within the body of the other fetus during pregnancy, affecting approximately one in five lakh births. The abnormality was detected early through antenatal scanning, allowing for careful monitoring and surgical planning. A specialized pediatric surgery team performed the complex operation, giving the infant a new start and relief to the family.

बेलारी के बीएमसीआरसी मेडिकल कॉलेज और अस्पताल के डॉक्टरों ने 'फीटस इन फीटस' नामक एक दुर्लभ जन्मजात स्थिति का सफलतापूर्वक इलाज किया है। यह स्थिति तब होती है जब गर्भावस्था के दौरान एक अविकसित जुड़वां बच्चा दूसरे भ्रूण के शरीर के अंदर बंद हो जाता है, जो लगभग पांच लाख जन्मों में से एक को प्रभावित करता है। यह असामान्यता प्रसवपूर्व स्कैनिंग के माध्यम से जल्दी पता चल गई थी, जिससे सावधानीपूर्वक निगरानी और सर्जरी की योजना बनाई जा सकी। एक विशेष बाल चिकित्सा सर्जरी टीम ने जटिल ऑपरेशन किया, जिससे शिशु को एक नई शुरुआत मिली और परिवार को राहत मिली।
