Haryana Targets 148 Villages For Stubble Burning

Haryana has identified 148 villages as potential stubble-burning hotspots for the upcoming paddy harvest season, based on last year's farm-fire records. Three villages are in the red zone and 145 in the yellow zone, with the remaining classified as green. This strategy focuses resources on high-risk areas, employing village-level monitoring and dedicated forces. Farmers in identified villages will have residue management methods mapped, and strict penalties, including fines and bans, will be enforced for violations. Panchayats in hotspot villages that improve their classification will receive awards.
