The National Medical Commission (NMC) will no longer issue eligibility certificates for doctors seeking routine teaching positions. This decision aims to enhance institutional accountability in faculty appointments and promotions. Complicated cases will now require an institutional route with a fee of ₹25,000 plus tax. The move is intended to reduce the administrative burden on the Board and streamline the process for medical colleges.
