Technology giant Nvidia is reportedly in early-stage discussions to either increase its investment in or acquire the AI startup Reflection. The Financial Times cited sources familiar with the matter, indicating that a deal could involve an acqui-hire arrangement to avoid regulatory scrutiny. Nvidia has already invested $800 million in Reflection AI, which was founded in 2024 by former DeepMind researchers. The startup recently launched its first open-weight model, Beam, aiming to compete in coding and agentic tasks.
