APCOS worker's family receives ₹33.15 lakh aid

The Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department has provided ₹33.15 lakh in financial assistance to the family of Vundi Anil Kumar, an APCOS welder who died from electrocution on duty. Principal Secretary S. Suresh Kumar handed over ₹28 lakh in insurance benefits, including ₹20 lakh for personal accident cover and ₹8 lakh for education support for his children. The Municipal Corporation had previously given ₹5 lakh as ex gratia and ₹15,000 for funeral expenses. This case highlights the need for robust social security for municipal workers.
