Business Standard · sports

Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians are searching for a new head coach for the 2027 season following Mahela Jayawardene's resignation. Jayawardene, who had a decade-long association with the franchise, guided MI to three IPL titles. While prominent names like Rahul Dravid and Adam Gilchrist are reportedly unavailable, candidates such as Mike Hussey, Adrian Birrell, and Aaron Finch are being considered. The franchise may also look within its existing coaching structure or broader network to find a successor capable of rebuilding team consistency.
