Man Shot Dead In Tarn Taran Over Enmity

A 35-year-old man, Navpreet Singh Navi, was shot dead in Tarn Taran following a confrontation over an old enmity. The deceased was the husband of the Gaggobua village sarpanch. Police stated that the accused, Surinder Singh alias Sonu Kanda, allegedly opened fire after a heated verbal exchange. Navi was declared brought dead at a hospital. The accused fled the scene and is currently absconding, with police launching raids to apprehend him. Security has been increased in the village.

तर्ऩ तारण में पुरानी रंजिश को लेकर हुई कहासुनी के बाद 35 वर्षीय नवप्रीत सिंह नवी की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई। मृतक गग्गो बुआ गांव की सरपंच का पति था। पुलिस ने बताया कि आरोपी सुरिंदर सिंह उर्फ सोनू कांडा ने कथित तौर पर तीखी बहस के बाद गोली चला दी। नवी को अस्पताल में मृत घोषित कर दिया गया। आरोपी मौके से फरार हो गया और फिलहाल पुलिस उसकी गिरफ्तारी के लिए छापेमारी कर रही है। गांव में सुरक्षा बढ़ा दी गई है।
