Goshamahal police have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly circulating counterfeit ₹500 notes among vendors in Begum Bazar. The accused would purchase goods with fake currency and collect genuine notes as change. Police recovered 16 counterfeit notes with a face value of ₹8,000 from him. He claimed to have obtained the fake currency from an absconding friend. Police are investigating the source and network behind the counterfeit notes. Vendors have been advised to be cautious and report suspicious currency to the authorities.

गोशामहल पुलिस ने बेगम बाजार में विक्रेताओं के बीच नकली ₹500 के नोट चलाने के आरोप में 21 वर्षीय व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी नकली करेंसी से सामान खरीदता था और बदले में असली नोट लेता था। पुलिस ने उसके पास से ₹8,000 के 16 नकली नोट बरामद किए हैं। उसने दावा किया कि उसे यह नकली करेंसी एक फरार दोस्त से मिली थी। पुलिस नकली नोटों के स्रोत और नेटवर्क की जांच कर रही है। विक्रेताओं को सतर्क रहने और संदिग्ध करेंसी की सूचना अधिकारियों को देने की सलाह दी गई है।
