Uttar Pradesh to Match Voter Lists With Panchayat and Urban Rolls

Uttar Pradesh's Chief Electoral Officer has ordered a comprehensive matching of Assembly constituency voter lists with Panchayat and Urban local body electoral rolls. This initiative aims to identify eligible citizens who are currently missing from the voter lists during the Special Summary Revision of Voter Lists 2027. Guidelines have been issued to District Election Officers to conduct this matching thoroughly, with efforts to enrol eligible citizens, especially youth and women. Electoral Literacy Clubs and various youth organisations will also be activated to assist in this process.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने विधानसभा क्षेत्र की मतदाता सूचियों का पंचायत और शहरी स्थानीय निकायों की मतदाता सूचियों से व्यापक मिलान का आदेश दिया है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य मतदाता सूची 2027 के विशेष सारांश संशोधन के दौरान योग्य नागरिकों की पहचान करना है जो वर्तमान में मतदाता सूची से गायब हैं। जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारियों को इन सूचियों का पूरी तरह से मिलान करने के लिए दिशानिर्देश जारी किए गए हैं, जिसमें विशेष रूप से युवाओं और महिलाओं को नामांकित करने के प्रयास किए जाएंगे। मतदाता साक्षरता क्लबों और विभिन्न युवा संगठनों को भी इस प्रक्रिया में सहायता के लिए सक्रिय किया जाएगा।
