The Nashik-Chennai Expressway, a 900-kilometer project connecting Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, faces delays despite 90% land acquisition being complete in two Maharashtra districts. The bidding process for the Nashik to Akkalkot section, crucial for reducing travel time, has been postponed. This 6-lane greenfield expressway aims to cut travel time between Nashik and Chennai to just 10 hours, down from 24 hours currently. While some sections are under construction, land acquisition hurdles in other districts are slowing down the overall project, which has a target completion year of 2027.

महाराष्ट्र और तमिलनाडु को जोड़ने वाली 900 किलोमीटर लंबी नाशिक-चेन्नई एक्सप्रेस-वे परियोजना में 90% ज़मीन अधिग्रहण पूरा होने के बावजूद देरी हो रही है। नाशिक से अक्कलकोट तक के हिस्से के लिए बोली प्रक्रिया, जो यात्रा के समय को कम करने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है, स्थगित कर दी गई है। इस 6-लेन ग्रीनफील्ड एक्सप्रेस-वे का लक्ष्य नाशिक और चेन्नई के बीच यात्रा के समय को वर्तमान 24 घंटे से घटाकर केवल 10 घंटे करना है। हालाँकि कुछ हिस्से निर्माणाधीन हैं, अन्य जिलों में ज़मीन अधिग्रहण की बाधाएँ समग्र परियोजना को धीमा कर रही हैं, जिसके पूरा होने का लक्ष्य वर्ष 2027 है।
