Pharma Distributor Held In Delhi Govt Procurement Scam

The Delhi Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has arrested pharmaceutical distributor Rajiv Rangila in connection with alleged irregularities in the procurement of medicines and medical equipment worth hundreds of crores. Rangila, who had allegedly fled India after an FIR was registered, returned from the US and surrendered to the ACB. He is considered the mastermind and prime beneficiary of the multi-crore scam, allegedly receiving nearly ₹750 crore. He was awarded contracts through four companies he allegedly controlled, despite violations of basic norms.

दिल्ली की एंटी-करप्शन ब्रांच (ACB) ने दवाइयों और मेडिकल उपकरणों की खरीद में कथित गड़बड़ी के मामले में दवा वितरक राजीव रंगीला को गिरफ्तार किया है। यह खरीद करोड़ों रुपये की बताई जा रही है। रंगीला पर आरोप है कि उसने चार कंपनियों के ज़रिए नियमों का उल्लंघन कर ठेके लिए और करीब ₹750 करोड़ का फायदा उठाया। वह इस घोटाले का मुख्य सरगना माना जा रहा है। FIR दर्ज होने के बाद वह अमेरिका भाग गया था, लेकिन वापस आकर ACB के सामने सरेंडर कर दिया।
