BJP MP Urges Reopening Of Kartarpur Corridor Ahead Of Guru Nanak Jayanti

Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney has urged the Union government to reopen the Kartarpur corridor before Guru Nanak Jayanti next month. The corridor, which allows visa-free access to Gurudwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan, has been closed since April 2025 following a terror attack. Sahney also requested Home Minister Amit Shah, whom he met at an exhibition marking 25 years of PM Modi's public service, to consider reopening the route. The government will weigh the geopolitical situation alongside the request. The exhibition featured 76 paintings depicting Modi's service.

राज्यसभा सांसद विक्रमजीत सिंह साहनी ने केंद्र सरकार से अगले महीने गुरु नानक जयंती से पहले करतारपुर कॉरिडोर फिर से खोलने की अपील की है। पाकिस्तान में गुरुद्वारा दरबार साहिब तक वीज़ा-मुक्त पहुँच देने वाला यह कॉरिडोर अप्रैल 2025 में एक आतंकवादी हमले के बाद से बंद है। साहनी ने गृह मंत्री अमित शाह से भी, जिनसे वे पीएम मोदी की 25 साल की सार्वजनिक सेवा के उपलक्ष्य में एक प्रदर्शनी में मिले थे, इस मार्ग को फिर से खोलने पर विचार करने का अनुरोध किया। सरकार अनुरोध के साथ-साथ भू-राजनीतिक स्थिति का भी आकलन करेगी। प्रदर्शनी में मोदी की सेवा को दर्शाने वाले 76 चित्र प्रदर्शित किए गए थे।
