Digital Arrest Gang Busted in Delhi; Cambodia Connection Uncovered

Delhi Police have busted a gang that extorted lakhs of rupees through 'digital arrests'. Victims were tricked via WhatsApp video calls into believing they were speaking to police officers, leading them to transfer large sums of money. Investigations revealed funds were routed through bank accounts in Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir. Two suspects, Mukesh Kumar and Ritish Kumar Mehra, have been arrested from Rajasthan and J&K respectively. Technical analysis suggests a connection to Cambodia, with further investigations underway.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने 'डिजिटल अरेस्ट' के ज़रिए लाखों रुपये की ठगी करने वाले एक गैंग का पर्दाफाश किया है। पीड़ितों को WhatsApp वीडियो कॉल के ज़रिए ठगा जाता था, उन्हें यकीन दिलाया जाता था कि वे पुलिस अधिकारियों से बात कर रहे हैं, और फिर बड़ी रकम ट्रांसफर करवा ली जाती थी। जांच में पता चला है कि राजस्थान और जम्मू और कश्मीर के बैंक खातों के ज़रिए पैसे भेजे जा रहे थे। दो संदिग्धों, मुकेश कुमार और रितिश कुमार मेहरा को क्रमशः राजस्थान और जम्मू और कश्मीर से गिरफ्तार किया गया है। तकनीकी विश्लेषण से कंबोडिया से कनेक्शन का पता चला है, और आगे की जांच जारी है।
