Leh Firing Victims' Kin Get Rs 15 Lakh

Ladakh lieutenant governor VK Saxena announced Rs 15 lakh compensation for the next of kin of each of the four protesters killed in police firing last year. Around 90 protesters were wounded during demonstrations demanding statehood and constitutional safeguards. An ex gratia of Rs 3 lakh for major injuries and Rs 1 lakh for minor injuries was also approved. This compensation follows repeated requests from Leh Apex Body co-chairperson Chering Dorjay Lakrook.

लेह फायरिंग पीड़ितों के परिजनों को ₹15 लाख

लद्दाख के उपराज्यपाल वीके सक्सेना ने पिछले साल पुलिस फायरिंग में मारे गए चार प्रदर्शनकारियों के परिवारों को 15-15 लाख रुपये की मुआवजा राशि देने का ऐलान किया है। राज्य का दर्जा और संवैधानिक सुरक्षा की मांग को लेकर हुए प्रदर्शनों में करीब 90 लोग घायल हुए थे। गंभीर चोटों के लिए 3 लाख और मामूली चोटों के लिए 1 लाख रुपये की अनुग्रह राशि भी मंजूर की गई है।
