Haryana Human Rights Commission Orders Structural Audit of All Govt Schools
Hindustan Times · education
Following the death of an 11-year-old student due to a gate collapse, the Haryana Human Rights Commission has expanded its inquiry to include a structural safety audit of all government schools in the state. The commission has directed officials to identify dilapidated and unsafe buildings and ensure timely remedial actions are taken. This comprehensive review will cover school buildings, entrance gates, boundary walls, and other structures posing a risk. Merely identifying unsafe structures is insufficient; concrete measures like repair, demolition, or reconstruction are mandated to prevent future tragedies.
