Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan Remix "expectations"

Times of India · entertainment

Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan have released a remix of Rodrigo’s song "expectations," a collaboration born from their years-long friendship. Rodrigo initially conceived the track as a personal mantra, inspired by artists like Kendrick Lamar, and Roan’s attitude significantly influenced its direction. This remix marks Roan’s first guest feature on another artist’s song, and it includes a verse with queer themes that emerged organically during studio sessions. The music video also features a cameo from David Byrne, adding another layer to this artistic partnership.
