He expressed that he would never forgive the minister for the public humiliation, especially given Mehndi's dedication in performing despite feeling unwell.

गायक मीका सिंह ने मुंबई में एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस आयोजित कर उत्तराखंड में एक नवरात्रि कार्यक्रम में अपने भाई दलेर मेहंदी के प्रदर्शन को लेकर हुए विवाद पर बात की। सिंह ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी, जिन्हें वह अपना भाई मानते हैं, ने एक मंत्री की ओर से माफी मांगी है। सिंह ने मंत्री के इस दावे को खारिज कर दिया कि मेहंदी नशे में थे और लिप-सिंक कर रहे थे, इसे झूठा और उनके भाई की प्रतिष्ठा को नुकसान पहुंचाने वाला बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि वह मंत्री को सार्वजनिक अपमान के लिए कभी माफ नहीं करेंगे, खासकर तब जब मेहंदी ने अस्वस्थ महसूस करने के बावजूद प्रदर्शन के प्रति समर्पण दिखाया था।
