Times of India · entertainment

Director Kamal revealed that a playful remark from actor Mammootty about him only making films with Mohanlal eventually led to their collaboration on the 1995 film 'Mazhayethum Munpe'. Mammootty had jokingly asked Kamal why he never called him for movies. Despite earlier failed attempts to work together, producer Madhavan Nair and screenwriter Sreenivasan facilitated the project. Mammootty also humorously questioned Sreenivasan's ability to meet deadlines before the film's production began. 'Mazhayethum Munpe' starred Mammootty alongside Shobana, Annie, and Sreenivasan.
