Delhi Bar Association Demands Criminal Action Against Suspended ACP

The Central Delhi court bar association has written to the Delhi Police Commissioner demanding a criminal case against suspended ACP Manasvi Vashishtha. Vashishtha allegedly made derogatory remarks and threatened lawyers during a protest outside the police headquarters over his transfer. The bar members seek an independent inquiry into the incident, the registration of a criminal case, and stringent departmental action. They also requested the immediate withdrawal of the officer's firearm pending an assessment of his fitness.

सेंट्रल दिल्ली कोर्ट बार एसोसिएशन ने दिल्ली पुलिस कमिश्नर को पत्र लिखकर निलंबित ACP मानसवी वशिष्ठ के खिलाफ आपराधिक मामला दर्ज करने की मांग की है। वशिष्ठ पर आरोप है कि उन्होंने ट्रांसफर को लेकर पुलिस मुख्यालय के बाहर विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान वकीलों के खिलाफ अपमानजनक टिप्पणी की और धमकी दी। बार के सदस्यों ने घटना की स्वतंत्र जांच, आपराधिक मामला दर्ज करने और सख्त विभागीय कार्रवाई की मांग की है। उन्होंने अधिकारी की फिटनेस के आकलन लंबित रहने तक तत्काल हथियार वापस लेने का भी अनुरोध किया है।
