Ravi Gupta, co-founder and co-CEO of Ithaca Holdings, will lead dating app Bumble after his firm agreed to acquire it for $1.3 billion. Gupta announced the deal, stating Ithaca evaluated hundreds of companies for AI potential, with Bumble standing out for its role in fostering meaningful relationships. He believes frontier technology can enhance human connection, aligning with Ithaca's mission to apply such technology to important areas. Gupta, also a partner at Sequoia Capital, previously held roles at Instacart and KKR.
