Varanasi Holds Special Voter Enrollment Camps at 3,300 Booths on Saturday

Special voter enrollment camps will be conducted on Saturday across all 3,300 polling stations in Varanasi, following Election Commission of India directives. Booth-level officers will be present from 10 am to 4 pm to assist citizens in enrolling eligible voters, including first-time voters, and to update electoral rolls. Forms for new registrations, deletions, and corrections will be accepted, with legal action threatened for absent officers. Educational institutions and offices housing polling stations will remain open for the campaign, urging citizens to verify their names and register if needed.

चुनाव आयोग के निर्देशों के अनुसार, वाराणसी के सभी 3,300 मतदान केंद्रों पर शनिवार को विशेष मतदाता पंजीकरण शिविर आयोजित किए जाएंगे। बूथ-स्तरीय अधिकारी सुबह 10 बजे से शाम 4 बजे तक पहली बार वोट देने वाले मतदाताओं सहित योग्य मतदाताओं को नामांकित करने और मतदाता सूची को अपडेट करने में नागरिकों की सहायता के लिए मौजूद रहेंगे। नए पंजीकरण, नाम हटाने और सुधार के लिए फॉर्म स्वीकार किए जाएंगे, और अनुपस्थित अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई की चेतावनी दी गई है। अभियान के लिए मतदान केंद्रों वाले शैक्षणिक संस्थान और कार्यालय खुले रहेंगे, नागरिकों से अपने नाम सत्यापित करने और यदि आवश्यक हो तो पंजीकरण कराने का आग्रह किया गया है।
