Mattancherry police in Keralam detained a 66-year-old Punjab native, Ashu Kumar Khanna, who resides in Canada, for operating a drone without permission. The incident occurred on Friday near the highly sensitive Mattancherry synagogue. Khanna, originally from Amritsar, was booked under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Drone Rules for negligent conduct and airspace violations. He was later released after receiving a notice. This event follows a recent alleged arson attack on another synagogue in Ernakulam.
