India's retail inflation surged to 4.38% in June, up from 3.93% in May, primarily driven by a significant increase in food prices. Ginger and tomatoes saw substantial year-on-year price hikes, pushing the Consumer Price Index higher. While some vegetables became cheaper, rural inflation outpaced urban rates.

जून में खुदरा महंगाई बढ़कर ४.३८% हुई

जून में भारत की खुदरा महंगाई बढ़कर 4.38% हो गई, जो मई के 3.93% से ज़्यादा है। इसकी मुख्य वजह खाने-पीने की चीज़ों के दाम बढ़ना है। खासकर अदरक और टमाटर के दाम में साल भर में काफी बढ़ोतरी हुई, जिससे कंज्यूमर प्राइस इंडेक्स (CPI) ऊपर चला गया। कुछ सब्ज़ियां सस्ती हुईं, लेकिन गांवों में महंगाई शहरों से ज़्यादा बढ़ी।
