Congress Declines Trinamool Alliance For Bypoll

The Congress party has decided to contest the upcoming Bengal bypoll solo, rejecting an alliance proposal from Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee. Reports suggest Banerjee's offer for support in the Rejinagar seat, in exchange for the Nandigram seat, was not reciprocated. West Bengal Congress chief Subhankar Sarkar stated that the Trinamool currently appears to be a liability for any potential alliance.

कांग्रेस पार्टी ने ममता बनर्जी के गठबंधन प्रस्ताव को ठुकरा दिया है। अब वे बंगाल उपचुनाव अकेले लड़ेंगे। खबर है कि ममता ने रेजिनगर सीट पर समर्थन के बदले नंदीग्राम सीट देने की पेशकश की थी, लेकिन कांग्रेस ने इसे स्वीकार नहीं किया। पश्चिम बंगाल कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष सुभंकर सरकार ने कहा कि तृणमूल फिलहाल किसी भी गठबंधन के लिए बोझ लग रही है।
