Jammu Kashmir Jails To Serve Mutton, Kashmiri Cuisine To Inmates

Inmates in Jammu and Kashmir jails will soon receive a more nutritious and flavourful diet, including traditional Kashmiri dishes and mutton. The jail department is procuring high-quality food items worth ₹8.50 crore to implement this enhanced menu. The new diet plan, focusing on the health and nutrition of prisoners, includes various pulses like rajma and chana, branded desi ghee, and local vegetables such as kadam and haak saag. Non-vegetarian inmates will be served halal and jhatka mutton along with eggs, and dry fruits will also be provided.

जम्मू और कश्मीर की जेलों में बंद कैदियों को जल्द ही पौष्टिक और स्वादिष्ट भोजन मिलेगा, जिसमें पारंपरिक कश्मीरी व्यंजन और मटन शामिल होंगे। जेल विभाग इस बेहतर मेनू को लागू करने के लिए ₹8.50 करोड़ के उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले खाद्य पदार्थ खरीद रहा है। कैदियों के स्वास्थ्य और पोषण पर केंद्रित इस नए आहार योजना में राजमा और चना जैसी विभिन्न दालें, ब्रांडेड देसी घी और कंदम और हाक साग जैसी स्थानीय सब्जियां शामिल हैं। मांसाहारी कैदियों को हलाल और झटका मटन के साथ अंडे परोसे जाएंगे, और सूखे मेवे भी उपलब्ध कराए जाएंगे।
