NCW Recommends Gender-Neutral Child Care Leave, Paid Paternity Leave for Fathers

NCW has proposed 37 recommendations to the central government to reform maternity and child care laws. Key suggestions include making the existing 730-day child care leave gender-neutral, allowing both parents to share the leave or receive 365 days each. NCW also recommends mandatory paid paternity leave in the private and unorganized sectors to ensure fathers' involvement in child-rearing.
