Supreme Court, High Courts Face Massive Case Backlog

Over 10,000 cases are pending in the Supreme Court for more than a decade, while High Courts nationwide grapple with over 80,000 cases pending for three decades. Despite investments in infrastructure and technology, case pendency remains a significant issue. The Law Minister attributed delays to judicial vacancies and responsibilities.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट, हाई कोर्ट में लंबित मामलों का भारी अंबार

सुप्रीम कोर्ट में दस साल से ज़्यादा पुराने 10,000 से ज़्यादा मामले लंबित हैं। वहीं, देश भर के हाई कोर्ट में तीस साल से ज़्यादा पुराने 80,000 से ज़्यादा मामले अटके हुए हैं। इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर और टेक्नोलॉजी में पैसे लगाने के बावजूद, मामलों का अंबार एक बड़ी समस्या बना हुआ है। कानून मंत्री ने कहा कि जजों की कमी और दूसरी ज़िम्मेदारियों की वजह से देरी हो रही है।
