Anaya Bangar, daughter of former Indian cricketer Sanjay Bangar, has appealed to the BCCI to consider allowing transgender players to participate in women's cricket, similar to Cricket Australia. Anaya has already received approval to play women's cricket in Australia and hopes for similar opportunities in India. She previously contacted the BCCI for clarity on rules but received no response, prompting her to approach Cricket Australia. While Cricket Australia has opened a path for her, elite competition participation depends on meeting specific testosterone level regulations by March 2027.
