Dussehra 2026 Date Confusion: or 21?

Aaj Tak · spirituality

This year, confusion surrounds the date of Dussehra, with some preparing to celebrate and others discussing. This ambiguity arises because the tenth day of Ashwin's bright half spans two days. In most of North India, Dussehra will be observed. However, in West Bengal, Vijaya Dashami will be celebrated, aligning with Durga Puja traditions. The auspicious time for worship in Delhi is from 1:59 PM to 2:45 PM.
