मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने तमिलनाडु सरकार को हाथियों के ज़रूरी गलियारों की सूचना देने में हो रही भारी देरी पर कड़ी फटकार लगाई है। कोर्ट ने इस प्रक्रिया को तुरंत पूरा करने का आदेश दिया है। कोर्ट का कहना है कि हाथियों के ठिकानों को बचाना और इंसानों-जंगली जानवरों के बीच टकराव कम करना बहुत ज़रूरी है। इससे हाथियों को सुरक्षित रास्ता मिलेगा और उनके रहने की जगहें बँटेंगी नहीं।
