Iran Nuclear Doctrine Unchanged, NPT Withdrawal Possible

Iran's top security official stated the country's nuclear doctrine has not changed and it remains committed to a religious decree forbidding nuclear weapons. However, he noted that withdrawal from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) is possible in response to military and political threats. Major General Mohsen Rezaei indicated that past actions by the US and Israel could justify such a move.
