Chandigarh Residents Lose Over Rs 6 Lakh

Three Chandigarh residents have lost over Rs 6 lakh in separate cyber fraud incidents after downloading malicious APK files. These files were disguised as traffic challans, pending gas bills, and dating apps. Upon downloading, fraudsters gained access to the victims' mobile phones, leading to the siphoning of funds from their bank accounts. Cyber crime police have registered three FIRs and are investigating the cases, but no arrests have been made yet. Authorities are urging residents to avoid downloading APK files from unknown sources to prevent financial losses.

चंडीगढ़ के तीन लोगों से 6 लाख रुपये से ज़्यादा की ठगी

तीन चंडीगढ़ निवासियों ने ट्रैफ़िक चालान, पेंडिंग गैस बिल और डेटिंग ऐप के रूप में भेष बदले हुए दुर्भावनापूर्ण APK फ़ाइलें डाउनलोड करने के बाद अलग-अलग साइबर धोखाधड़ी की घटनाओं में 6 लाख रुपये से ज़्यादा खो दिए हैं। डाउनलोड करने पर, धोखाधड़ी करने वालों ने पीड़ितों के मोबाइल फोन तक पहुंच प्राप्त कर ली, जिससे उनके बैंक खातों से धन की निकासी हुई। साइबर अपराध पुलिस ने तीन FIR दर्ज की हैं और मामलों की जांच कर रही है, लेकिन अभी तक कोई गिरफ्तारी नहीं हुई है। अधिकारी वित्तीय नुकसान को रोकने के लिए निवासियों से अज्ञात स्रोतों से APK फ़ाइलें डाउनलोड करने से बचने का आग्रह कर रहे हैं।
