A 13-year medical study involving over 3.5 lakh people suggests regular coffee consumption can significantly lower the risk of liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. Researchers observed a notable decrease in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and liver-related mortality among coffee drinkers compared to non-drinkers. The benefits were observed with both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee, indicating that antioxidants in coffee beans play a crucial role. Experts recommend 2-3 cups daily for most adults, cautioning against exceeding 400mg of caffeine and advising consultation with a doctor for certain individuals.
