Mumbai Ganesh Visarjan: Over 200 Phones Stolen

During Ganesh Visarjan celebrations in Mumbai, thieves targeted devotees, stealing over 200 mobile phones and gold chains. Police arrested 18 individuals, including two women and a minor, in connection with the thefts. Numerous complaints of lost and stolen phones were filed across various police stations. The organized gangs exploited the large crowds at popular immersion sites like Lalbaug and Girgaum Chowpatty. Police have recovered 14 smartphones and seven gold chains so far and are investigating further to apprehend other accomplices and recover stolen items.
