Sacked JNU Professor Alleges Witch Hunt, Demands Evidence

Congress MP Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, dismissed by JNU over sexual harassment allegations, calls it a "witch hunt" and a "blessing in disguise." He claims he hasn't received the inquiry report or dismissal order and demands evidence be made public. Akoijam stated the POSH Act is an Indian law and insisted on seeing any evidence against him. JNU dismissed him with immediate effect after an Internal Committee recommended a major penalty, following complaints submitted on May 18.

JNU से यौन उत्पीड़न के आरोपों के चलते निकाले गए कांग्रेस सांसद अंगोमचा बिमोल अकोइजम ने इसे "बदले की कार्रवाई" और "आशीर्वाद" बताया है। उन्होंने कहा कि उन्हें जांच रिपोर्ट या बर्खास्तगी का आदेश नहीं मिला है और वह सबूत सार्वजनिक करने की मांग करते हैं। अकोइजम ने कहा कि POSH एक्ट एक भारतीय कानून है और उन्होंने अपने खिलाफ किसी भी सबूत को देखने पर जोर दिया। JNU ने 18 मई को शिकायतें मिलने के बाद आंतरिक समिति द्वारा बड़ी सजा की सिफारिश के बाद उन्हें तत्काल प्रभाव से बर्खास्त कर दिया था।
