Doctor's Family Seeks Release Amid Allegations of False Implication

The family of Dr Randall Sequeira, arrested for alleged involvement in violence in Rayagada district, is demanding his immediate release. They claim he has been falsely implicated due to his perceived sympathy towards anti-mining activists, despite his years of service to marginalized communities. Police, however, state the arrest was lawful, citing eight criminal intimidation cases against Dr Sequeira. Tribals have also protested, demanding the release of Dr Sequeira and Laxman Naik, who was arrested with him. The family hopes for a swift judicial release.
