Ladakh Administration Designates Sankoo as Eighth District

The Ladakh administration has officially announced Sankoo as the Union Territory's eighth district, fulfilling a long-standing demand from residents. Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena approved the decision, aligning it with the 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' vision. This announcement follows Saxena's earlier approval on April 27 for five new districts, increasing Ladakh's district count from two to seven. The administration also acknowledged the contributions of various organizations and individuals, including Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman and its chief patron Syed Mohammad Razvi, for their role in this development.

लद्दाख प्रशासन ने केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के आठवें जिले के रूप में संकू की आधिकारिक घोषणा कर दी है, जिससे निवासियों की लंबे समय से चली आ रही मांग पूरी हो गई है। उपराज्यपाल वी के सक्सेना ने इस फैसले को मंजूरी दी, जो 'सबका साथ, सबका विकास' की सोच के अनुरूप है। यह घोषणा सक्सेना द्वारा 27 अप्रैल को पांच नए जिलों के लिए पहले की गई मंजूरी के बाद आई है, जिससे लद्दाख में जिलों की संख्या दो से बढ़कर सात हो गई है। प्रशासन ने इस विकास में भूमिका निभाने के लिए अंजुमन-ए-साहिब जमान और इसके मुख्य संरक्षक सैयद मोहम्मद रज़वी सहित विभिन्न संगठनों और व्यक्तियों के योगदान को भी स्वीकार किया।
