A tornado warning is currently in effect for Johnston and Wake counties in North Carolina, valid until 2 p.m. EDT on Sunday. Radar images captured by residents and storm chasers suggest a possible tornado near Clayton. However, the National Weather Service has not yet officially confirmed a touchdown. The NWS reported a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Clayton, moving northeast at 35 mph.
