GRAP-1 Curbs Imposed in Delhi-NCR As Air Quality Dips to 'Poor'

Delhi has implemented the first stage of its seasonal pollution control measures, with Stage-I of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) now active across the National Capital Region. This marks the first imposition of these curbs this season. The decision follows a noticeable deterioration in the region's air quality, which has fallen into the 'poor' category. Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa announced the development on Wednesday afternoon, noting the decline after Dussehra celebrations.

दिल्ली में प्रदूषण नियंत्रण के मौसमी उपायों का पहला चरण लागू कर दिया गया है, जिसके तहत राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (National Capital Region) में ग्रेडेड रिस्पांस एक्शन प्लान (GRAP) का स्टेज-I अब सक्रिय है। इस सीज़न में इन प्रतिबंधों को पहली बार लागू किया गया है। यह फैसला क्षेत्र की हवा की गुणवत्ता में आई खास गिरावट के बाद लिया गया है, जो 'खराब' श्रेणी में आ गई है। पर्यावरण मंत्री (Environment Minister) मंजीत सिंह सिरसा ने बुधवार दोपहर इस बात की जानकारी दी, उन्होंने दशहरा (Dussehra) के उत्सव के बाद आई गिरावट का जिक्र किया।
