Pune Newspaper Agency Owner, Wife Accused of Duping 4 Colleagues of Rs 1.84 Crore

A newspaper agency owner and his wife in Pune are accused of defrauding four fellow agency owners of Rs 1.84 crore. The couple allegedly promised high returns on share market investments between June 2020 and March 2023. The complainant, who also works in a cooperative bank, invested Rs 1.25 crore, receiving only Rs 28.25 lakh back without any investment details. Three other newspaper agency owners collectively invested the remaining amount. The accused are facing charges of criminal breach of trust, cheating, and criminal conspiracy.

पुणे में एक अखबार एजेंसी के मालिक और उसकी पत्नी पर चार साथी एजेंसी मालिकों को 1.84 करोड़ रुपये की ठगी करने का आरोप है। दंपति पर जून 2020 और मार्च 2023 के बीच शेयर बाजार में निवेश पर ऊंचे रिटर्न का वादा करने का आरोप है। शिकायतकर्ता, जो एक सहकारी बैंक में भी काम करता है, ने 1.25 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश किया, लेकिन उसे कोई निवेश विवरण के बिना केवल 28.25 लाख रुपये वापस मिले। तीन अन्य अखबार एजेंसी मालिकों ने सामूहिक रूप से शेष राशि का निवेश किया। आरोपियों पर आपराधिक विश्वासघात, धोखाधड़ी और आपराधिक साजिश के आरोप हैं।
