Ashok Gehlot Urges Rajasthan Govt to Prepare for Drought-Like Conditions

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has urged the State government to immediately prepare a contingency plan for a drought-like situation. He warned that drinking water, fodder for animals, and employment could become major concerns in the coming months. Gehlot highlighted that drought-like conditions are already affecting thousands of villages across districts like Jodhpur, Barmer, Balotra, and Jaisalmer. He also called for the waiver of farmers' loans, recalling a previous waiver of ₹14,000 crore by the Congress government.

राजस्थान के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत ने राज्य सरकार से सूखे जैसी स्थिति के लिए तुरंत एक आपातकालीन योजना तैयार करने का आग्रह किया है। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि आने वाले महीनों में पीने के पानी, जानवरों के चारे और रोजगार की बड़ी चिंताएं हो सकती हैं। गहलोत ने बताया कि जोधपुर, बाड़मेर, बालोतरा और जैसलमेर जैसे जिलों में हजारों गांवों में पहले से ही सूखे जैसी स्थिति का असर पड़ रहा है। उन्होंने किसानों के कर्ज माफ करने की भी मांग की, और कांग्रेस सरकार द्वारा पहले ₹14,000 करोड़ की कर्ज माफी का भी जिक्र किया।
