Israel Faces Political Uncertainty After Election Results Leave No Clear Majority

Israel's recent legislative elections on October 27 have resulted in a parliamentary deadlock, with neither Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition nor the opposing bloc securing a majority in the 120-seat Knesset. This outcome necessitates weeks of political negotiations to form a government, potentially involving a unity government or a minority administration. President Isaac Herzog is expected to task a candidate with forming a coalition by November 11, who will then have 28 days, with a possible extension, to achieve this. Failure to form a government could lead to new elections.
