Times of India · india

Nagpur police have identified 371 vulnerable hotspots across the city to enhance women's safety. These locations will be monitored by beat marshals and 12 new Nirbhaya Pathaks operating on a pilot basis. A QR-code-based system will ensure accountability by tracking patrol visits in real time. The initiative follows a mapping exercise of areas with a history of crimes against women, poor lighting, and lack of CCTV. This proactive approach aims to identify and mitigate risks before incidents occur, extending safety measures to public spaces and online threats.
