Accountant Duped of Rs 52 Lakh by Zirakpur Firm Promising Triple Investment Returns

A Pinjore-based accountant has been allegedly defrauded of Rs 52 lakh by a Zirakpur-based company that promised threefold returns on investments. The accountant, Shubham, was lured by promises of a water plant venture and incentives like trips and luxury items. He invested the money in multiple instalments after being shown company IDs and cryptocurrency apps. When he sought his money back, the company representatives allegedly delayed payment and issued threats. Pinjore police have registered a case against six individuals involved in the alleged scam and are investigating the matter.
