Himachal DGP Orders SPs for Safe, Incident-Free Diwali Celebrations

Himachal Pradesh DGP Ashok Tewari has instructed Superintendents of Police (SPs) to ensure peaceful and incident-free Diwali celebrations across the state. This directive emphasizes preventive policing and personal supervision of security measures. Key actions include increased patrolling in crowded areas, strict enforcement of firecracker safety, and coordination with emergency services. Special drives will target drunk driving, speeding, and illegal activities. Range IGs/DIGs and ADG/CID will oversee preparedness, with SPs submitting compliance reports by November 7. The DGP also urged the public to follow safety precautions and cooperate with the police.

हिमाचल प्रदेश के डीजीपी अशोक तिवारी ने राज्य भर में पुलिस अधीक्षकों (एसपी) को दिवाली का त्योहार शांतिपूर्ण और बिना किसी घटना के संपन्न कराने के निर्देश दिए हैं। इस निर्देश में निवारक पुलिसिंग और सुरक्षा उपायों की व्यक्तिगत निगरानी पर जोर दिया गया है। मुख्य कार्यों में भीड़भाड़ वाले इलाकों में गश्त बढ़ाना, पटाखों की सुरक्षा का सख्ती से पालन कराना और आपातकालीन सेवाओं के साथ तालमेल बिठाना शामिल है। नशे में गाड़ी चलाने, तेज गति और अवैध गतिविधियों को रोकने के लिए विशेष अभियान चलाए जाएंगे। रेंज आईजी/डीआईजी और एडीजी/सीआईडी तैयारियों की निगरानी करेंगे, और एसपी 7 नवंबर तक अनुपालन रिपोर्ट जमा करेंगे।
