Counterfeit L'Oréal Products Worth ₹6.9 Lakh Seized in Ahmedabad; Two Arrested

Ahmedabad police have seized 1,221 suspected counterfeit L'Oréal cosmetic products valued at Rs 6.9 lakh from two shops on Gheekanta Road. The proprietors of My Beauty Centre and Lakshmi Beauty Shop were arrested on Thursday night for allegedly stocking these products for sale without valid bills or authenticity documents. The seized items include shampoos, serums, creams, and hair colour. The police are investigating the sources of these counterfeit goods, which were reportedly supplied from Mumbai and Naranpura. A case has been registered under the Copyright Act, 1957.

अहमदाबाद पुलिस ने घीकांटा रोड पर दो दुकानों से 6.9 लाख रुपये के 1,221 संदिग्ध नकली L'Oréal कॉस्मेटिक उत्पाद जब्त किए हैं। माय ब्यूटी सेंटर और लक्ष्मी ब्यूटी शॉप के मालिकों को गुरुवार रात को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। उन पर कथित तौर पर वैध बिल या प्रमाणिकता दस्तावेजों के बिना इन उत्पादों को बिक्री के लिए रखने का आरोप है। जब्त किए गए सामानों में शैंपू, सीरम, क्रीम और हेयर कलर शामिल हैं। पुलिस इन नकली सामानों के स्रोतों की जांच कर रही है, जो कथित तौर पर मुंबई और नारणपुरा से सप्लाई किए गए थे। कॉपीराइट एक्ट, 1957 के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है।
